A man who can speak against the present views of other countries and extremist societies but also shadow verbly the threats of these groups through a calm and confident manner is a very wise and intelligent man. I've always said unlike previous presidents Obama is not only good with words, but is exceptional in presenting his public figure.

After watching the inauguration of 44th president Barack Hussien Obama even during these times of grim hardship for America and countries around the world, i certainly hope that there will be a light provided by this powerful figure through the promise of "remaking America". In doing so this event has brought together all aspects of society, all races, all colours. This historic moment should be an example to the onlooking governments and peoples of the world, and to the welcoming of similar "Change".

Reflecting this change were the broadcast images of the procession; from the first glimpse of Barack Obama climbing into a limo smiling in apparent confidence and shear delight, to the final images of Dick Cheney clambering out of a wheelchair with cane in hand (due to over-enthusiastic box lifting..) leaving by private car, and former President Bush leaving by military helicopter. These images really showed the final transition from old to new.

I only hope within the next few years there will be an equally reputable figure and indeed government to be elected in the UK.

#UPDATE#
On a musical note during the ceremony a piece entitled "Air and Simple Gifts" was performed live, which i hear is an arrangement by John Williams of a 19th century american work song called "Simple Gifts". I was taken aback not only by the ability of the players (tone of the clarinet player was exquisite), but also the female pianist was wearing fingerless gloves! Hobo gloves rule :) . Below is a video of this performance (uploaded by one very speedy youtuber).
